Romualdo Locatelli “An artistic voyage from Rome, the Eternal city to Bali, the Isle of Gods"
The new monograph about the famous painter Romualdo Locatelli “An artistic voyage from Rome, the Eternal city to Bali, the Isle of Gods" will be launched by Daniela Locatelli, niece of the artist and president of the Locatelli Art Association, at the Galeri Nasional Indonesia in Jakarta, June 22, 2019, at 3.30 pm, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the artist's first exhibitions in Java and of the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Italy.
The book editor is Vittorio Sgarbi, the name par excellence of art critics in Italy, curator of major international exhibitions, a prolific writer of best-selling art books, presenter of successful transmissions that have remained in the history of Italian television, a tireless defender of the art and culture. Vittorio Sgarbi is also a great estimator and collector of Romualdo Locatelli, he recently wrote a ten page chapter about him on his last volume, Novecento v. II, which includes all the best Italian artist of the XX century.
