IIC CINE CLUB: Castro di Paolo Civati

“Il Castro” was an occupied dwelling in Rome, a refuge for the excluded, a home for many people and for nobody. For more than ten years it was a solution for many families. Yesterday it was tolerated, today it no longer exists. More than a year of shooting to reveal the daily life of a community that lives in an extraordinary situation. “Il Castro” like a Tower of Babel, which tells its story in a language with a thousand accents and a single semantic, that of a denied right, that of an unfilled need.
