Jakarta, 23 May 2022 – “Road to Europe on Screen” is back. Four European cultural centres in Jakarta will present in-person screenings of seven European films ahead of the 22nd European Union (EU) Film Festival “Europe on Screen” (EoS 2022).

Road to EoS features films that had been screened at past editions of the EoS film festival. The screening of the seven films will take place on 3-5 June 2022 at Erasmus Huis, GoetheHaus, Institut Francais d’Indonesie (IFI) and Istituto Italiano di Cultura (IIC).

EoS is the annual EU film festival and a flagship cultural event organised by the EU diplomatic and cultural representations in Indonesia. With an average audience of over 30,000 and a growing enthusiasm from audiences every year, EoS is one of the largest European film festivals in the world.

EoS 2022 will be held in a hybrid format. The offline film screenings will take place from 16 to 26 June 2022 in several major cities in Indonesia: Jakarta, Bandung, Denpasar, Medan, Surabaya, and Yogyakarta. Meanwhile, online viewing is accessible for viewers in Indonesia through the festivalscope.com website from 20 to 30 June 2022.

Both Road to EoS and EoS 2022 are free of charge.
