The Italian Cultural Institute, Jakarta, proudly supports the Eijkman Institute for Molecular Biology, Jakarta, in organizing a scientific seminar held by Prof. Claudio Tiribelli.
The Yellow Day Seminar focuses on jaundice which is a condition where the skin, nails and sclera are yellow and usually icterus follows. This yellowing of the skin, nails and sclera is because of high bilirubin level in the blood that can be caused by conjugated and unconjugated bilirubin. The purpose of the Yellow Day Seminar is to increase awareness and vigilance towards jaundice and hyperbilirubinemia, especially in newborns and also whether it is associated with genetic disorders and mutations.
