Ubud Writers & Readers Festival

In conjunction with the 17th Italian Language Week in the World, the Embassy of Italy and the Italian Cultural Institute, Jakarta proudly present a lectio magistralis by Erri De Luca in collaboration with the Faculty of Humanities, University of Indonesia. Subsequently Erri De Luca, as one of the most highlighted writers in Italy, will participate in the annual event of Ubud Writers and Readers Festival, which this year focuses on the theme Origins.

Erri De Luca, a writer, novelist, storyteller, essayist, translator and poet, has been recognized as the writer of the decade by a critic Giorgio De Rienzo of Corriere della Sera. He has published more than 60 books, short stories and poems, which have been translated into more than 30 languages.
